About Coraz
Coraz is named in honor of my grandmother, Corazon - a name that means “heart.”
She was a seamstress, a small business owner, and one of my earliest influences in how I came to understand clothing as something more than what we wear.
In the Philippines, she had her own clothing boutique and created custom pieces by hand. Some of my fondest memories are of watching her make costumes for our Filipino cultural dances, including Subli. I remember the care she put into every detail and how special it felt to wear something she had created just for us.
That stayed with me.
Her work showed me that clothing could carry meaning. It could reflect culture, individuality, craftsmanship, and care. It could make someone feel seen and considered.
Years later, that influence became part of the foundation for Coraz.
Coraz is a women’s apparel brand built around versatile, thoughtfully designed pieces that feel elevated without feeling complicated. I want each piece to be something you can make your own, styled differently, worn often, and carried through different parts of your life.
The brand is modern, but the heart behind it comes from her.
Coraz is my way of carrying a piece of Corazon forward, honoring the woman who first showed me the beauty of creating something with intention, and building something of my own from that legacy.

About Me
Hi, I’m Monica, founder of Coraz.
I’ve been conscious of fashion for as long as I can remember. Even in kindergarten, I had opinions about what I wanted to wear and how I wanted to put things together.
I grew up with parents who cared about style and always dressed with intention, so fashion naturally became part of how I expressed myself. As I got older, that interest only grew from wanting to keep up with trends to developing a stronger sense of my own personal style and what I actually wanted from the clothes in my closet.
That perspective eventually became part of the inspiration behind Coraz.
I wanted to create pieces that feel current but still wearable, elevated but easy, and versatile enough to style in different ways depending on the woman wearing them.
Coraz is also deeply connected to my grandmother, Corazon, whose creativity and history in clothing helped shape the heart behind the brand.
For me, Coraz is the culmination of a lifelong love of fashion and the opportunity to finally create something of my own.
